A few days after my last post, my best friend Jessica came to visit! She is an au pair in Genoa right now. She took the train down to Florence Friday morning.
After meeting Jess at the train station, our first stop was at a little restaurant called "Adi's Diner" across from my school's Italian department building on my street. It's an American style diner, and the walls are covered in pictures of the owner with lots of popular American rap & hip-hop artists. The owner is a smart man for having this right in front of the school building! Lots of students at my school come here for American style breakfast and also what you see Jess holding in the picture below...
.....Iced coffee with actual ice cubes! Soooo good!
Then we walked over to the Duomo to take some pictures and climb up the cupola.
